Long Time, No Chat

Yes, I'm still alive.

No, I have no idea if anyone even still reads this.

Either way - I'm married!!

The wedding went really well - no real regrets, other than who caught the bouquet. Had some really special moments, including the first kiss (yes, we really did wait on that until our wedding day).

The honeymoon was great too. I wasn't allowed to know where we were going, so it was full of surprises for me. The first night we stayed at a Bed & Breakfast near home, which was really comfy. Then we flew to Philly the next morning, and got to see some of the sights there, as well as finally having real Philly cheesesteak (totally worth it!!). Then we drove up to a house in the Poconos, where we stayed for almost a week. We took a few daytrips - up to Steamtown (in Scranton), the museums at Hershey (Chocolate World is great), and down to Gettysburg. Got to play mini golf, go swimming, and get lots of rest. Then on the weekend, we took the train to Washington, D.C., where we spent about 6-7 hours seeing the sights, before continuing on the train down to Orlando. Let me tell you, Amtrak is definitely the way to travel. For about the same price as flying, we got friendly service, less security issues to deal with, more comfort, less stress, more privacy, free meals in the dining car (good portions and good food), and beds to sleep on (instead of uncomfortable airplane seats). Totally worth it. Anyway, once we got to Orlando, we were able to spend a few days at the main Disney theme parks (Animal Kingdom, MGM, Epcot, Magic Kingdom). Got on most of the rides we were hoping to. I hadn't been there since I was 4, so a lot had changed - and I could actually go on all the rides this time. Still have to go back for the Everest ride and the Haunted House, since they were closed while we were at those parks. Absolutely loved Space Mountain.

We finally flew back home this past Friday after two full weeks of enjoyment. Now it's back to work, etc. Lots of things going on right now - if you think of it, we could really use your prayers for wisdom and direction.

I was just thinking the other day that there was a newly married blogger to relay belated congratulations to. Glad you posted that I remembered! :) Glad yto hear that things are going well for you, and when you two move to Wyoming, the best area is the northwest corner--mountains, Yellowstone, more of the small-town feel, etc... :)
